The ABB stand (22 and 27) at this year's Water, Wastewater and Environmental Monitoring exhibition (WWEM) will feature the first public outing of its latest world-first, the CalMaster2 flow meter verification system Being held at the Telford International Centre on the 1st and 2nd November 2006, the exhibition will give visitors a chance to see the CalMaster2, the first in-situ verification system for both battery and mains-powered electromagnetic flow meters

Designed for ABB flow meters, CalMaster2 is a portable verification device which checks flow meter installation and performance in-situ, making verifying accuracy quicker, easier and less costly than ever before.

Another key product on display will be the ABB AquaMaster electromagnetic flow meter.

Compatible with CalMaster2, the AquaMaster features built-in GSM technology that permits remote access to flow data using SMS messaging.

Accompanying it will be the MagMaster, Parti-Mag and AquaProbe meters, plus the ABB Sensybar pitot and Sensyflow thermal mass meters.

Also featured will be the latest products in the ABB analytical range; a host of equipment for pressure, level and temperature measurement.

There will also be examples of the ABB SM series videographic data recorder range, including the groundbreaking field-mountable SM500F recorder.

The ABB consultancy arm, ABB Engineering Services, will be presenting at 11.30am on both days at the exhibition's main conference explaining requirements for monitoring of aqueous effluents under the PPC permitting regime.

In addition, ABB experts will be hosting two workshops to explain how their technologies can be applied to meet the most pressing topics currently affecting the water and waste water treatment industry.

The first workshop, at 10.00am on 1st November, will advise industrial operators on how accurate metering of effluent discharges can help achieve compliance with the requirements of MCERTS and the PPC regulations.

The second workshop, at 1.30pm on 2nd November, will explain the possibilities offered by the latest analytical instrumentation to help water authorities meet the Freshwater Fish Directive, which requires them to ensure designated water areas are sustainable for freshwater fishlife.

ABB manufactures and supplies a wide range of equipment for measuring and monitoring water and waste water treatment processes, both for utilities and industrial applications.
