The system, which will be provided by ABB China, will consist of 18 AC800F controllers, four engineer workplaces, and 16 DigiVis Operator workplaces.
Each Operator workplace is equipped with two displays.
The system will process more than 6,000 I/O signals for the plant, which will have one central control room, and seven operating areas.
The areas include air-separation, gasification, transform, depurating, methanol production, SIS, and production scheduling.
The ABB scope of supply includes a digital video monitoring system to better collect local equipment information, as well as four remote control systems for pick-coal, heat power station control, waste-water, methanol bottling, and a heat power station.
Architecture flexibility allows the remote systems to be connected with the AC800F System via optical Profibus and open communication interfaces.
The project features advanced water-coal pressure gasification technology to produce methanol from high sulphur coal.
This process thereby reduces the environmental impact of burning the high sulphur coal directly.
