ABB podcasts simplify flowmeter selection

ABB has uploaded a series of animated podcast tutorials that simplify flowmeter selection.

The podcasts cover electromagnetic, variable area, mass flow, differential pressure and swirl and vortex flowmeters.

They describe how each flowmeter works, where they can be used and their advantages and disadvantages for specific applications.

The podcasts can be downloaded to a PC or portable device for viewing.

The podcasts follow the 2008 introduction of ABB's Flowmaster range.

Flowmaster harmonises the flowmeter ranges previously offered by ABB heritage companies Fischer and Porter and Kent Taylor into a single offering featuring consistent design and a shared technology platform.

Users can now choose industry-specific options for chemicals, oil and gas, water, food, power, pharmaceutical, metals and mining and pulp and paper applications.

Using shared electronics technology across the range, plus a common interface featuring ABB's new HMI, makes it easier for users to set up and operate any ABB flowmeter.
