White paper discusses hazard area management

Abhisam Software has published a white paper on effective management of hazardous areas using gas monitors.

Electrical equipment installed in hazardous areas has to be explosion-protected and conform to the classification for that area.

However, practical problems frequently arise when the specified equipment is not easily available.

For example, an area classified as Zone 1 under the IEC system theoretically can accept only Zone 1 equipment.

Sometimes, however, especially in the case of specialised equipment, Zone 1 certified equipment of the specified type may not be available.

This paper shows how such situations can be effectively managed by using gas monitors that detect explosive gases and vapours.
