RF Admittance level switches calibrate themselves

An Able Instruments and Controls product story

The new IntelliPoint level switches use RF Admittance technology, to give a switch that has no moving parts, ignores all coatings, has no "process side" electronic components, and needs no calibration

The new IntelliPoint RF range of level switches from ABLE and Ametek Drexelbrook use this RF Admittance technology, to provide a switch that has no moving parts, ignores all coatings, has no "process side" electronic components, and needs no calibration.

The IntelliPoint RF Series is able to detect the presence or absence of material, without adjustment, straight out of the box.

Simply install it in a tank and apply the power.

The IntelliPoint RF software continuously monitors the application for changes in composition, dielectric and conductivity and triggers at a repeatable trip point on the probe.

Other RF and capacitance systems require manual calibration adjustments on initial installation, and when the process material changes.

Since the IntelliPoint RF Series is independent of changes in material, it is also ideal for non-dedicated tanks that are used for a variety of products.

The IntelliPoint RF Series electronics are housed in a dual compartment enclosure that separates the customer wiring and power supply from the sensing element and operating circuits.

The encapsulated power supply/terminal block design also eliminates the possibility of damage caused by moisture ingress.
