New submersible sewage pump is blockage free
A new range of submersible sewage pumps, announced by ABS Pumps Ltd, has been designed to provide blockage free operation, while delivering the highest motor efficiencies of any submersible pump
In sewage pumping and industrial applications where the waste stream is likely to contain high levels of suspended solids or foreign objects, or where ragging is likely, Contrablock provides an efficient and low maintenance solution to challenging pumping.
Tests have shown that towels, cloths, plastic sacks and even shoes can pass through an ABS Contrablock pump without affecting its performance or causing blockages.
In addition to field testing, the efficiency of Contrablock technology has been examined and compared with other types of hydraulics used in sewage pumps.
These tests, carried out with single channel (closed and open), vortex, cutter and Contrablock impellors for DN100 to DN150 pumps are shown in the graph.
The results clearly show that the Contrablock system has the best combination of resistance to blockage and efficiency.
