Cost-effective trailer immobilisation device
Actiserve (UK) has added another high quality product to its existing range of industrial safety and security products in the form of the Suzielok articulated trailer immobilisation device
The didBOX is a low-cost access control system designed with industrial climates in mind.
Drivers are issued with rugged electronic keyfobs that store a unique identification number and can be configured by the customer to allow a driver access only to those vehicles that he or she is authorised to operate.
Without a keyfob the engine cannot be started so cannot be used.
Following on from the success of the driver logging, Actiserve recently introduced an optional collision monitoring option.
Depending on the application, a 2G, 5G or 10G collision is recorded by the system, showing the driver responsible at the time.
In addition to the monitoring of actual events, it follows that drivers who know that they are being monitored drive more safely, leading to the kinds of cost savings detailed above.
A full step-by-step guide to how the system works has recently been added to our website.
