New explosive certified reference materials

An Accustandard product story

AccuStandard, a world leader in the synthesis and manufacture of organic, inorganic, and petrochemical chemical reference standards, has developed a new line of explosive certified reference materials

AccuStandard, a world leader in the synthesis and manufacture of organic, inorganic, and petrochemical chemical reference standards, has developed a new line of explosive certified reference materials.

Including TATP (Triacetonetriperoxide) and HMTD (Hexamethylenetriperoxidediamine), the new materials are designed to ease explosive analysis and detection.

Recent news about Homeland Security has prompted government agencies, instrument manufacturers, research facilities and monitoring labs to take a more thorough interest in detecting and accurately defining the presence of explosives in a variety of applications.

In keeping with this concern, AccuStandard now synthesises the explosives and their metabolites, raw materials and degradates, thereby offering the most comprehensive line of synthesised explosives in the industry.

The new line includes RDX (Cyclotrimethylenetrinitramine), PETN (Pentaerythritoltetranitrate), Tetryl, HNS (Hexanitrostilbene), TNT (Trinitrotoluene), TNT metabolites, the highly reactive and unstable TATP and HMTD, and many others.

Single solutions and custom mixes can be provided in a wide range of concentrations and solvents.

AccuStandard offers over 30,000 Organic and Inorganic chemical reference standards, and stocks in several locations around the world for quick delivery.

AccuStandard supplies, manufactures and also synthesizes standards for the environmental and petrochemical industries.

Recognised for its wide range of both routine and rare standards, AccuStandard is certified to ISO 9001:2000 and is the only major international standards manufacturer to be accredited by the US Government NIST as a Proficiency Provider under the NVLAP programme (lab code 200389-0).
