Middle East consultancy and engineering
contract
AMEC has won a five-year consultancy and engineering services contract from Kuwait National Petroleum Company covering upgrades, refurbishment and modifications on their three existing refineries
The contract is worth over 23.3 million Kuwait Dinars (approximately GBP41.9 million at current exchange rate) to AMEC, the international project management and services company Starting immediately, the work covers provision of services management, engineering services, including concept/basic design, process and general engineering covering the complete refinery activities

AMEC from Darlington, in the Northeastern UK, has been awarded GBP100 million long-term asset support contracts by leading chemical companies Innovene and Huntsman Petrochemicals
Work also involves project and construction management services, and technical assistance both inside and outside Kuwait.
This contract will be serviced from the AMEC engineering offices in London and also significant support will be provided by the AMEC in-country Kuwait Engineering Services group (KES).
