AMEC appoints new Strategic Development Director

AMEC, the international engineering and project management company, announces that Francois-Philippe Champagne has joined AMEC as Strategic Development Director

He has also been appointed to the Management Committee.

He is responsible for mergers and acquisitions, strategy and supply chain management and is based in London.

Mr Champagne (37), born in Quebec, Canada, joins AMEC from ABB in Switzerland, where most recently he was group vice president and senior counsel.

Before joining ABB in 1999 he was senior attorney for Elsag Bailey Process Automation, Group Operations Europe and Asia.

Mr Champagne gained a Bachelor of Law degree at Montreal University followed by Master of Law degree at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, USA.

He was called to the Quebec Bar in 1994.

"AMEC is well positioned for growth, both organically and through acquisitions, said Samir Brikho, Chief Executive of AMEC.

"The wealth of knowledge and experience Francois brings, in international corporate law and cross-border transactions, will be a considerable asset in achieving our ambitions".
