AMEC Paragon will provide front-end engineering design (FEED) for a natural gas drilling and wellhead platform in the Western Black Sea near Akcakoca, Turkey, for Turkiye Petrolleri (TPAO)
As design contractor, ABI will be responsible for the overall performance of detailed engineering work, including pre-engineering, survey, detailed design, tie-in engineering and final documentation.
The engineering phase will be completed in June 2008.
"This is the fifth detailed design contract for Total awarded to ABI and confirms the strength of our relationship with Total," said Ben Dowson, ABI General Manager: "Our customer, PT Kaliraya Sari, already has a great deal of experience producing GTS systems for Total, and we look forward to working closely with them on this project".
The Tunu field is located partially onshore in swamp areas and partially offshore in shallow waters.
Since 2003, the Tunu field has been operated at medium pressure at wellhead pressures of 25-35 barg.
The Tunu Phase 11 development project is intended to provide low-pressure systems to allow continued production in the face of on-going reservoir depletion.
