1 February 2010 - Amec has announced the acquisition of Currie and Brown (Australia), a cost and commercial management consultancy.

Currie and Brown (Australia) is a provider of independent cost, contract and consulting services to the oil and gas, mining, building, transport, utilities and infrastructure sectors.

Its services include engineering cost management and cost engineering, programming and scheduling services, contractual advice and dispute resolution, technical cost and scope auditing, facilities management consulting and quantity surveying and building cost management.
