Aerco has extended their products from E-T-A beyond the field of circuit protection, by offering E-T-A process control instrumentation products for flow monitoring and control equipment that can result in significant operational savings and afford many other benefits Aerco will supply microcontrollers for use with mass flow sensors to measure volume or mass flow in liquids or gases in different media and applications

The sensors use a well-proven 'double probe calorimetric' principle and are repeatable to within 1%.

Flow rates from 0.05 to 100m/s can be measured with medium temperatures up to 130C.

The microcontrollers are DIN-rail mounted and have a live display of flow speed, in litres per minute and metres per second, plus a temperature measurement.

Two relay and transistor outputs are available for set point control and an analogue output is available to drive a secondary display.

A typical application would be using the flow sensors and data loggers in a building management system to record, control and optimise air flow in compressor systems: this can result in massive savings in power and reduce the maintenance cost of machinery.
