Aflex offers PTFE-lined flexible hose

An Aflex Hose product story
Edited by the Processingtalk editorial team Nov 24, 2008

Aflex Hose has launched Corroline, a PTFE-lined flexible hose.

Corroline hose is a universal chemical hose for chemical plant applications, with improved flexibility.

Corroline is built around a PTFE hose liner design, which is smooth-bore inside but convoluted outside to generate excellent flexibility combined with 'hoop strength'.

A stainless helical wire and stainless steel wire braid reinforcement add to kink resistance, crush resistance and the resistance of the hose to pressure and vacuum.

This reinforced PTFE construction is therefore strong enough to withstand full vacuum and kinking, with no need for internal convolutions or bonding the liner to an outer cover, a significant improvement upon standard products.

Whether used to satisfy specific requirements for hygienic and chemical resistance in pharmaceutical manufacturing and research facilities, or for multi-purpose use in chemical or foodstuffs process operations, our smooth-bore or convoluted PTFE hoses can answer all demands.

They can be used wherever the high temperature resistance, chemical resistance and easy- clean surface properties of PTFE are primary requirements.
