Ashtead Technology Rentals (UK) and Gutermann (Switzerland) are delighted to announce the signing of a new rental partnership agreement for leak detection equipment

Ashtead Technology Rentals (UK) and Gutermann (Switzerland) are delighted to announce the signing of a new rental partnership agreement for leak detection equipment Under the agreement, Ashtead Technology Rentals, part of one of the world's largest rental groups, will become the Gutermann preferred rental partner in the UK

Gutermann has developed market-leading technology that provides fast, simple and accurate detection of leaks within water distribution systems.

The company's UK Managing Director, Dale Hartley, says that he is delighted with the Agreement, adding, "The Gutermann instruments have been designed to be extremely easy to use.

We have built in artificial intelligence that takes the operator through each of the steps necessary to detect leaks, and avoids any potential for error.

In addition, the instruments are robust and lightweight, which means they are ideal for renting.

In Ashtead we have a partner that is both able to hold a comprehensive stock of the latest instruments, and has the resources to provide a high level of service for customers within the water sector".

James Carlyle at Ashtead is similarly pleased with the agreement, adding "In order to ensure that we can deliver the best product, tested, on-time and ready for use, our engineers are fully trained on the Gutermann equipment and are able to provide help and assistance both before and during the rental period".

Reducing water leakage is a major challenge for the water industry and recent figures indicate that GBP1bn is to be invested in fixing leaks in coming years, with the aim of cutting leaks by another 300 million litres per day by 2010.

Full details of the Gutermann rental instruments can be found on the website.
