Rental Services in demand at ET Event
Ashtead Technology Rentals General Manager James Carlyle reports a high level of enquiries at the Environmental Technology event at the NEC, from customers in the waste and contaminated land sector
However, for us, the thermal cameras and the laser methane detector were the stars of the show helping to attract large numbers to our stand" he explained.
"It seems that the demand for rental equipment shows no signs of slowing as more and more people exploit the benefits of hiring over purchasing.
These advantages include the avoidance of capital cost and access to the very latest, fully-calibrated equipment.
Along with the thermal cameras and laser methane detector we also had significant interest in endoscopes, pipeline investigation tools, utility locators, water quality monitors and contaminated land assessment equipment, which are all available for hire".
The P620 ThermaCAM is ideal for applications including thermal research, predictive maintenance, heat loss surveys and manufacturing.
The cameras have also been used in specialist applications such as TV and film production work.
The LaserMethane detector, meanwhile, is a portable methane detection device which changes the way landfill gas leaks can be detected, making monitoring safer, quicker and more effective.
It has a 150m maximum range and can even detect through glass.
