The ARC Advisory Group will host their "European Manufacturing Automation Forum", an event for professionals in the discrete and hybrid manufacturing industries, on May 14 -15 in Frankfurt

EMAF is a highly educational event specifically designed for professionals in the discrete and hybrid manufacturing industries, including automotive, industrial machinery, fabricated metals, cement and glass, food and beverage and pharmaceutical More than 200 decision makers from production and engineering departments will learn how to effectively manage and optimise production plants using collaborative manufacturing concepts and technologies

Presentation topics include: digital factory, manufacturing IT, mechatronics, lean manufacturing strategies, security and networking and emerging technologies for automation.

This international event will feature speakers from around the globe.

Executives from Daimler, EDS Business Solutions, Mitsubishi, Siemens, SEW Eurodrive, T-Systems and many others will share their experiences and best practices and discuss strategies for success.

Keynote addresses at EMAF include: "Five Future Trends in Automation Technology," by Dr Gerd-Ulrich Spohr of ZVEI, "Key Strategies for Discrete Manufacturers in the Flat World," by Jim Caie, VP General Motors (ret) and ARC VP of Consulting, and "Service-Oriented Architecture for Effective Manufacturing Data Management," by Dr Jorg-Oliver Vogt of T-Systems Enterprise Services.

A highlight of EMAF is the Vision and Technology Roadmap session in which executives from Europe's top four automation suppliers will present and defend their vision of how emerging technologies will translate into user benefits in the next 10 years.

Attendees will have the opportunity to network among their peers and gather intelligence about the latest developments in factory automation solutions.

EMAF will take place on May 14 -15 in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, at the Movenpick Frankfurt City.
