Aker Kvaerner has received an order for the delivery of what will become the world's largest cooking plant to a pulp mill in Asia

Aker Kvaerner has received an order for the delivery of what will become the world's largest cooking plant to a pulp mill in Asia By request of the client the contract value is not disclosed

Kvaerner Pulping, part of the Aker Kvaerner group, is to provide the cooking plant featuring the state-of-the-art Compact Cooking G2 technology.

Scope includes engineering, procurement and construction supervision services.

"Despite fierce competition, once again our environmentally friendly and cost-effective technology solutions, combined with our well-reputed project execution capabilities, demonstrate our position as the preferred supplier regarding technology for cooking pulp.

These orders mark yet another important milestone for our presence in the growing Asian market," says Per-Ake Farnstrand, President at Kvaerner Pulping.

The project commences shortly and start-up is scheduled for the third quarter of 2008.
