Process Control Academy 2007 training event
The UK Process Control Academy, 6-8 Feb 2007, will provide a valuable overview of enhanced process control and plant monitoring techniques, using application stories and the latest software tools
The focus is on techniques that provide a competitive advantage through greater reliability, robustness and performance, making the event of interest to process control engineers, plant managers and operation/production staff.
The Process Control Academy combines both traditional training (day 1) and workshop presentations from industrial engineers (days 2 and 3), and you can attend whichever days you like.
Day 1 - "Getting the Basics Right" - This is the ACTC highly regarded Introduction to Process Control training course, providing a suitable introduction for those new to process control.
Day 2 - "Turning Advanced Control into Applied Control" - this day will see the introduction and application of model predictive control, the most widely employed advanced strategy for difficult to control processes.
The problem of coping with process nonlinearities, such as pH, will also be covered.
The final part of the day looks at new methods for extracting valuable information from the mass of data that control systems now produce.
Day 3 - "Realising Improvements to your Process" - The final day addresses issues about how to make control work and how to keep it working, including the automatic assessment of the performance and condition of your control loops, and methods for justifying in and bringing about improvements to your control system.
