Other petrochemical applications are for dosing of chemicals for the treatment of drinking water and industrial water, the treatment and conditioning of cooling water and process water, the recycling of waste water in the refinery.
In the mineral oil / pipeline process: dosing of inhibitors.

API is a standard defined by a standards committee in the USA - last definition in October 1994.
The standard is specified to represent quality features and standardisation for the petrochemical industry.
Version 675 is applicable to dosing pumps.
Only piston diaphragm dosing pumps and piston pumps are permissible, not diaphragm pumps.
The standard mainly describes process pumps for high system pressures, in particular with respect to materials, connections and tests.
Individual agreements are basically permissible between customer and manufacturer, since the standard is understood to be rather a guideline.
The KM Pumps API certificate can be applied to all pumps of the KM 250 and KM 280 series, including the pumps with electric stroke adjustment.
Only pumps with Etron Profi electronics are not included.
API pumps are subjected to tests in excess of those used for standard pumps, and are supplied with a metal rating plate.
These excess tests include.
* Performance test.
* Creation of an order-related dosing curve.
* Material certificates.
* Hardness test certificates. Request a free brochure from Grundfos Alldos ...
