The TL10 plate heat exchanger from Alfa Laval has been tailor-made for cooling applications in areas such as comfort cooling and heating, in the semiconductor industry, marine and diesel, power and oil and gas as well as the process industries.

It is particularly suitable for applications where a large degree of heat recovery is required and which necessitate very close temperature approaches.

In terms of size, the new exchanger fits between existing Alfa Laval M10 and M15 series heat exchangers.

It has been designed for liquid flow rates up to 180 m3/h, can be used for design pressures up to 25 bar and is optimised for liquid-to-liquid duties.

TL10 is ideal for use in cooling loops where it is important that the cold circuit temperature level is preserved all the way through the cooling system; whether it is generated artficially or in some cases using natural resources.

Whatever the source, it is vital that heat exchangers employed in such systems are able to operate with small temperature differences to maximise efficiency.

Standard plate materials include AISI 304 and AISI 316 stainless steel, and titanium with gaskets to suit a wide range of duties.
