Diffusion bonded heat exchanger has process debut
The AlfaNova 400, a new 100% stainless steel diffusion bonded plate heat exchanger enhanced specifically for process duties in hostile heating, cooling, evaporating and condensing conditions
The order includes separators, plate heat exchangers and crude oil booster pumps.
The second order is for a high capacity plate heat exchanger which will form part of a central cooling system on a petrochemical plant in the Middle East.
Fresh water in a closed loop provides cooling for the various process plants: the fresh water in turn is cooled in the plate heat exchangers using seawater.
"This order shows the importance of new products and to take them to the market with speed," says Lars Renstrom, CEO and President of the Alfa Laval Group: "This new plate heat exchanger, called T50, introduced in 2005, has been a commercial success and has further strengthened our leading market position".
The Alfa Laval high capacity plate heat exchanger T50 can replace up to three traditional shell and tube heat exchangers.
This gives the customer the benefit of lower installation costs and reduced energy consumption.
"It is also important to notice that the Alfa Laval well established local service organization in Saudi Arabia is a key factor when a customer places the order", added Lars Renstrom.
