New DIN rail pH Monitor has advanced
features
The RM4-PH DIN rail unit from Amalgamated Instruments accepts input from all conventional pH electrodes and also from a temperature sensor, for compensation
Amalgamated Instrument Co now has a DIN rail mount pH/ORP monitor/controller for the situations that require a rugged, flexible solution in a compact instrument The DIN rail mount instrument - the RM4-PH - is part of the AIC family of instruments offering exceptional features in a package only 44mm wide

Bar graph for better panel displays
A graphical representation of a measurement is often valuable in allowing quick accurate decisions to be made, so AIC has added a bar-graph display option to their range of panel instrumentation.
It has a 5 digit 7.6mm LED display and allows for calibration, programming and set-up through the 4 pushbuttons located on the front panel.
The RM4-PH accepts input from all conventional pH electrodes and also accepts input from a temperature sensor.
The instrument uses the temperature input to automatically compensate for pH electrode error due to sample solution temperature.
Because the temperature sensor registers the solution temperature, the RM4-PH can also act as a temperature controller.
The temperature can be displayed and a set-point relay can be set to act at a preset temperature value.
Two set-point relays are supplied as standard with the instrument.
The standard relays can be configured separately to act as standard alarm relays or to offer PI control.
There is a wealth of output options available including extra set-point relays, single and dual analogue retransmission, serial retransmission (RS232, RS485 or RS422) and an isolated transmitter supply.
The dual analogue retransmission feature is a particularly flexible and powerful output option.
With this option the user can, for example, use one output for temperature indication and use the other for PI control.
As the analogue retransmission outputs are totally isolated from one another, they can be used as inputs to totally separate systems.
The RM4-PH represents a flexible, rugged, intelligent answer to a host of applications requiring pH measurement and control.
