A wealth of digits!

Bar graph for better panel displays
A graphical representation of a measurement is often valuable in allowing quick accurate decisions to be made, so AIC has added a bar-graph display option to their range of panel instrumentation.
The 5 digit display has digits of 45 mm (1.8") high with a visibility rating of 20 metres.
The 6 digit display has digits of 38 mm (1.5") high with a visibility rating of 18 metres.
The displays are manufactured using ultrabright LEDs and they feature an "autobrightness" function that automatically adjusts the display level to the ambient light conditions.
This eliminates the "display dazzle" that can occur in low ambient light but allows the display to be seen in daylight.
The wall mounted enclosures are manufactured from UV resistant black ASA with an IP65 environmental rating.
A kit to allow panel mounting of the displays is also available.
Applications that can use these displays include weighing, counting (rate, total and grand total), time and temperature displays including high precision real time clocks or as remote displays with serial input - RS232, RS485, Serial current loop or Synchronous Serial Interface (SSI).
Calibration and set-up are achieved using pushbuttons and no special tools are required.
The 5 and 6 digit displays have the pushbuttons on the faceplate and the 4 digit display has the set-up buttons on the main board.
Displays with 4 or 6 "flip" digits are also available.
The digits are 39 mm (1.5") high with a visibility rating of 18 metres.
These displays are ideal for use in high ambient light levels.
They are not available for all applications.
These new displays enhance the AIC range of large digit models that includes 100 mm (4") in LED and "flip" and 200 mm (8") in LED.
