Aluminium (aka aluminum) is one of the most widely used metals due to its light weight and versatility, but it can also present a host of unique challenges for even the most skilled welders

And when questions about welding arise, it can be even more difficult to find quick answers - until now From simple to complex, matters on everything associated with aluminium welding can now be easily referenced with one simple guide: Welding Aluminium - Questions and Answers

This first-of-its-kind resource manual published by the American Welding Society (AWS) includes a comprehensive listing of frequently asked questions and answers, general information and guidelines, and feature articles on welding aluminium.

AWS is the world's largest organization dedicated to advancing the science, technology and application of welding.

Welding Aluminium - Questions and Answers was developed in response to high industry demand for a practical guide for troubleshooting aluminium welding problems.

Beyond that, the book touches on the dramatic changes in aluminium welding due to the emergence of new welding techniques and advanced materials.

It includes chapters on the advances in aluminium and aluminium welding within several manufacturing industries, an overview of aluminium alloys and metallurgy, aluminium welding discontinuities and weld testing, processes and procedures, and codes and standards.

The book also provides an overview of the history of aluminium welding and common welding processes.

It is available in print and electronic formats.

The author of the book, Tony Anderson, is a 40-year welding industry veteran.

His numerous technical articles relating to welding engineering have been published in various journals and magazines across the globe.

Mr Anderson's professional credentials include AWS Certified Welding Engineer, AWS Certified Welding Inspector, AWS Certified Welding Educator, and Registered Chartered Engineer with the British Engineering Council.

He is associated with seven professional and technical AWS committees and is the chairman of the Aluminium Association Technical Advisory Committee for Welding.
