AMi secure new 'cover design' contracts

Specialist GRP cover designers AMi Designs, have been awarded a contract for the design, manufacture and installation of a range of tank covers for the Ballina Wastewater Treatment plant in Ireland

Specialist GRP cover designers AMi Designs, have recently been awarded a new contract for the design, manufacture and installation of a range of tank covers for the Ballina Waste Water Treatment plant on the west coast of Ireland.

The project, handled in conjunction with the contractor Response Engineering, is valued at approximately GBP150,000.

The contract includes beam and infill covers which are designed to incorporate a bridge across the middle of the tanks and also rotating covers which need to suit and rotate with a rotating half bridge and scraper system.

The complete contract includes 2 x 8.6 meter diameter beam and infill GRP covers, 2 x 15.3 meter diameter rotating GRP covers and 1 x 24 meter rotating GRP cover.

AMi Director and qualified engineer Darren Bishop who is leading the project commented, "The Ballina contract is the latest in a number of new projects we are involved in: these recognize our specialist engineering and design skills in GRP cover design".

Established by Directors Kevin Daykin and Darren Bishop, Bristol based AMi Designs are building a reputation for innovative GRP cover designs combined with fast and efficient installations across a range of engineering projects.
