Specialist GRP cover designers AMi Designs are building a reputation for excellence within the GRP design and manufacturing community thanks to the successful completion of some large tough projects
The contract, valued at GBP150,000, requires each of the five profiled covers to be self-supporting and mounted only on the rim of each tank, while the reinforced GRP covers need to support a 5kN/m2 loading with deflection limited to 1/200 of the beam spans.
Darren Bishop, Ami Director and qualified engineer who is leading the Ballymoney project commented, "The Ballymoney contract is one of a number of important contracts we have secured recently and confirms our ability to produce innovative cover designs, backed up by fast and efficient on-site installation".
