Cost-effective, reliable multipole connectors

An Anderson Power Products product story
Edited by the Processingtalk editorial team Aug 16, 2007

Anderson Power Products, a leader in high power interconnect solutions, offers cost effective and reliable Powerpole and SB Multipole connector families

These connectors feature modular, interchangeable, colour-coded and genderless housings, providing safe, simple and low-cost solutions for power interconnection.

Powerpole connectors are available in a variety of amperage ratings, from 15 amps to as high as 180 amps, for use through 600Volts continuous, AC or DC operation.

Moulded dovetails provide a unique keying feature, preventing misconnection with different connectors.

Also offered within the Powerpole series are the compact and robust PCB contacts, for a wire to board connection.

The touch-safe feature of the 15 to 45 amp connectors prevents the accidental touching of live contacts.

SB Multipole connectors are available in amperage ratings from 50 amps to as high as 700 amps for use through 600Volts continuous, AC or DC operation.

Different colour housings are available to identify different voltage ratings.

Each colour housing provides a unique keying feature, allowing connectors to mate with only those of the same colour.

Each connector family uses the APP flat wiping contact technology, offering minimal contact resistance at high current.

Low-detent contacts are also offered for low insertion/withdrawal force applications and are available in both reeled and loose piece packages to support various production needs.

In addition, Powerpole and SB Multipole connectors are RoHS compliant.

APP also offers a wide range of accessories within each family, including cable clamps for strain relief, dust covers, handles, wire bushings, mounting clamps, mounting wings and retention clips.

Application and crimp tooling for a variety of wire sizes and contacts is also included.
