Detect leaks in hazardous areas

An Alpine Components product story
Edited by the Processingtalk editorial team Dec 2, 2004

Alpine Components will have the ATEX approved Ultraprobe 2000 on display on stand D27 at Maintec 2005: this is now available with ATEX approval for gas group IIC

On stand D27 at Maintec 2005, Alpine Components will have on display the ATEX approved Ultraprobe 2000.

The Ultraprobe 2000 is used throughout the petrochemical, pharmaceutical and power industries to find leaks (both pressure and vacuum), check valves and steam traps, monitor bearings and detect high voltage electrical arcing.

It is featured as part of the "No Leaks" strategy implemented by UKOOA (United Kingdom Offshore Oil Association).

The Ultraprobe 2000 is intrinsically safe to Factory Mutual, and now has ATEX approval to II 1 G EEx ib IIC T3.

It can be safely operated in the group IIC, which is the most dangerous explosion group (this includes Hydrogen).

The 2000 is one in a range of Ultraprobes including analogue and digital models.

The latter models store, down-load and up-load readings, and can produce graphs and reports.
