Applied Weighing, the UK's leading manufacturer of load cells and weighing systems has recently doubled the size of its manufacturing facility in Reading to keep up with their increasing global demand.

The new facility at Reading was acquired following the launch of a number of new products, including a load cell and weighing assembly range called the Clevermount - that has proved a major success for the company.

These assemblies are designed to be easily installed to provide an accurate weighing system for vessels, tanks and hoppers in the food, pharmaceutical and chemical industries.

It is probably one of the easiest assemblies in the world to install and one of its prime advantages is that the load cell can be quickly inserted or removed without the need to jack or support the vessel.

The success of the Clevermount range and other recent new products such as the 920i weight controller - one of a range of intelligent weight instruments, has encouraged the company to invest into further research and development and extend their R and D and manufacturing facilities.

Celebrity chef and customer Anthony Worell Thompson along with Managing Director, Julian Glasspole recently opened the new factory extension.

Anthony uses one of the Applied Weighing small industrial scales for his renowned London based restaurant and butchery "Notting Grill".

He commented after the event "My Applied Weighing scales are performing perfectly in tough, very busy conditions.

I was delighted to open their new modern factory - it's great to see a British manufacturer doing so well".

The new factory extension in Reading will enable Applied Weighing to provide a faster, more efficient service for its clients as the demand for their weighing products, bespoke systems and load cells continues to grow.
