Ultrasonic cake and pizza cutter
The ultrasonic cake and pizza cutter has been specifically designed to transport/centralise and cut round cakes into segments on an integrated linear conveyor
This offers food manufacturers many benefits including the fact that the presence of "bubbles" within a product means costs are reduced as fewer of the more expensive ingredients are used.
In addition, the number of reject products is greatly reduced as the unit works under positive pressure and ensures the structure of the product remains intact during depositing.
The PPM40 positive pressure manifold depositor has been specifically designed to work with highly fragile products such as mousses and mallows, but its versatility means that products ranging from batters (with inclusions), fondants and potato can still be deposited or injected in a highly controlled manner.
The PPM40 reduces downtime compared to other available depositing systems because it contains fewer components for the operator to have to strip and clean.
Fewer components also mean that reassembly is faster leading to even quicker changeovers.
The PPM40 positive pressure manifold depositor uses pneumatic components from Camozzi, who have been working with Apple Engineering for 15 years, during which time over 2,500 depositor units, including the highly versatile MR900, have been produced and sold worldwide to the biggest names in the food processing industry.
Steve Smith, Apple Engineering Managing Director, comments: "Our reputation for supplying highly reliable and accurate depositors is protected by continuous customer focused research and development and by using only the highest quality components in our machines".
Apple Engineering marketing manager, Chris Norfolk adds: "We are a customer focused company and fully understand that our customers have valuable brand reputations to protect: We are excited by the prospects for the new PPM40 as it offers manufacturers many clear benefits compared to other depositing systems".
Founded in 1985, Apple Engineering has won international recognition as a designer and manufacturer of innovative and specialised processing equipment for the world food industry.
