On-line gas scrubber analysis

Gas scrubbing to remove particulates and noxious gases is one of the most common process units - on-line analysis is possible to bring the laboratory out to control the plant!

From semiconductor manufacturing to waste water deodorising, all scrubbers rely on a fairly simple process to prevent potentially lethal releases of toxic gases to the environment: control is typically carried out by taking samples of scrubber liquor to either the plant or central laboratory Other control methods include trying to establish a relationship between pH or conductivity and the concentration of the scrubber liquor - a relationship that mostly does not exist!

Laboratory analysis is usually carried out by titration as that is the most accurate and relevant technique for most scrubber liquors.

The ADI 2016 Titro Analyser from Applikon Analytical is designed to bridge the gap between the process and the laboratory by carrying out the analysis on-line.

At the heart of the analyser is a precision burette and volumetric sampling system to provide laboratory accuracy within a robust, reliable analyser.

The ADI 2016 Titro Analyser will provide analysis for most scrubber liquors at approximately 10 minute intervals and report data in the required format.

Housed in an IP65 cabinet the ADI 2016 Titro Analyser is suitable for mounting within the process environment without further protection and is also available in a stainless steel cabinet for areas where mechanical or hygiene reasons prevail.

Independent studies have demonstrated that the ADI 2016 Titro Analyser applied to a single 1m3 scrubber can pay for itself within one year. Request a free brochure from Applikon Analytical ...
