Applied Scintillation Technologies (AST) has announced record figures for the financial year 2005-6, both in terms of order intake which was close to GBP3M, and product shipped

Applied Scintillation Technologies (AST) has announced record figures for the financial year 2005-6, both in terms of order intake which was close to GBP3M, and product shipped.

Managing Director, Maurice Blanchard, said: "This is a superb set of figures, and reflects our ever-strengthening position as one of the leading suppliers of advanced imaging and detection solutions using the latest in phosphor and scintillation technology.

We have seen particular growth in the dental, instrumentation and security sectors, and we have started 2006 with a very healthy level of orders in hand".

The increased turnover has led to expansion in the work force and further investment in plant and facilities at the AST headquarters in Harlow, UK.

Two additional technicians have been appointed recently and recruitment is under way for further technicians and scientists.
