Modern 'split' air conditioning systems can be installed virtually anywhere and combine high efficiency with low running noise.
Usually the condenser and compressor are mounted externally, with the evaporator coil, often including a furnace or heat pump, fitted indoors.
The Armaflex pre-insulated pipes are designed for the feed and return supplies between these separated components.

Pfeiffer Vacuum has broadened its line of HiPace turbopumps to include four new sizes.
The seamless drawn copper pipe used is subject to nitrogen purging during the annealing process, which results in a 'super clean' tube with carbon levels well below current standards for refrigeration applications.
The pipework is then pre-insulated with a closed-cell foam which reduces the overall cost of installation.
Even further savings are achieved with the Duosplit, which comprises two insulated copper pipes of different sizes (for the gaseous and liquid refrigerant flows), which are joined with a sophisticated connecting system which permits separation and re-joining without damage and without the need for special tools.
The insulation thickness is calculated to prevent condensation occurring and is resistant to ozone and UV radiation as well as being free of PVC and CFCs.
The elastomeric insulation used for Armaflex Split has a temperature operating range of -50C to +150C.
All insulation is foil covered to give durability and prevent moisture ingress, also making it suitable for both external and internal installation.
For maximum economy the insulated tubing is supplied in continuous coiled lengths of 50 metres for the Split product in tubing sizes of 1/4, 3/8 and 1/2 inch OD.
Larger sizes up to 7/8 inch diameter in the Split range and all sizes in the Duosplit range are available in 20 metre coils only.
SAE flare fittings can be supplied for copper joints.
These are gas tight and resistant to mechanical damage.
They comply with new CEN regarding refrigeration gases, have pressure ratings up to 590 bar and eliminate problems associated with traditional soldering methods.
