An Arc Energy Resources product story
Edited by the Processingtalk editorial team Apr 17, 2008

Peter Bowden has joined Gloucestershire-based weld overlay cladding specialist Arc Energy Resources in a business development role, with a particular focus on the subsea oil and gas sector

He joins Arc Energy following four years with BP as Senior Project Engineer on the Greater Plutonio Angolan deepwater subsea project, where he was Technical Authority (URF) for all materials engineering and welding work performed by the BP contractors and their supply chain.

Peter has a wealth of experience in the oil and gas industry covering more than 25 years, working for suppliers, engineering contractors and oil companies.

He is a Chartered Engineer, European Welding Engineer and a Member of the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining, with an MSc in Welding Technology, BSc in Metallurgy.

Commenting on his appointment, Managing Director Alan Robinson says that Peter's knowledge of the international oil and gas business will be invaluable in helping Arc Energy to realise the potential for its weld overlay cladding services in the subsea sector.

Editor's note: Jim Bowden established the world men's diving record in 1994, in a Mexican water filled pit with a dive to 925 feet, so there's obviously something in the name!.
