Del Monte Foods enhances operations with Ariba

One of the largest producers, distributors and marketers of premium branded food and pet products, Del Monte, has expanded its use of spend management solutions to drive greater savings and efficiency

As part of aggressive efforts to control costs and operate more efficiently, Del Monte has broadened its portfolio to include additional offerings that enable it to increase visibility into its spending activities and drive greater savings and efficiencies across its operations.

Del Monte has been using Ariba as its platform for procurement since 2005.

The expansion supports the Del Monte Value Improvement Programme, an initiative designed to offset inflationary pressures and generate USD50 million in cost savings by the end of fiscal 2007.
