Voice over WiFi system launched
Ascom Wireless Solutions has launched a Voice-over-WiFi (VoWiFi) system designed to give industry a high level of communications mobility at a low cost
With the VoWiFi handset as a core element, the system offers key functions required in factories, chemical and paper processing plants, manufacturing sites and other industrial locations (eg oil rigs), such as an integrated personal alarm, alert messaging, paging and voice telephony The systems can be integrated easily with existing voice and data networks as well as interconnecting with public fixed and mobile networks
