An "Installation Workshop" is one of the highlights of the ASi-tech 2004 Conference programme, to be held at at Durham County Cricket Club on March 2nd and Gloucestershire Cricket Club on March 4th

A special "Installation Workshop" is just one of the highlights of the ASi-tech 2004 Conference programme announced today by AS-Interface UK.

The 2004 events to be held at Durham County Cricket Club on March 2nd and Gloucestershire Cricket Club on March 4th will host a full day of seminars (same papers at both venues).

These will include topics such as the integration of AS-Interface with higher-level fieldbuses, process industry integration and networked safety standards.

The free of charge technical conference will cover the basics of AS-Interface technology, application issues for AS-Interface in the factory automation and process control industries, as well as a renewed look at networked safety systems including the lastest developments with AS-Interface Safety at Work.

The installation workshop held after lunch will address the importance of getting both the mechanical and electrical parts of AS-Interface correct particularly if you're integrating a Safety at Work network.

Seminars at the event will include: For a Keynote speech: Trends and developments in industrial networking, including Industrial Ethernet.

Introduction to AS-Interface Technology.

Integrating AS-Interface into higher level systems.

Application 1: Process industry, with focus on integration.

Application 2: Factory Automation.

Installation workshop • installing safety at work devices.

Networked safety: Standards and Regulations.

A major safety application will be discussed: Manchester Airport, complete with business benefits.

ASi-tech 2004 will again feature an Exhibition with AS-Interface members showing their latest products and solutions.
