CD based 'Hazardous Area' training course released
Abhisam Software has just released a new CD based training course on Hazardous Area Instrumentation: this is available as either a stand alone single user license or as a multi-user license
The training will enable European engineers to stay up to date with the latest developments and innovations in the ASME globally respected Codes and Standards.
"I registered for the ASME Section IX Welding course to gain familiarity with the standard, as I have just started working with this, and similar standards", commented registered delegate Dr Heather Gower, working with Shell Global Solutions in the Netherlands.
She continued, "Continuing education is important.
It allows me to learn about new areas of interest, while causing minimum disruption to current workload".
In 2007, ASME contacted its members in Europe and asked them to identify their training priorities for the year ahead as well as their preferred locations.
Turin was selected for the training courses running from 19 - 23 May, due to its proximity to a number of key European engineering hubs.
The course topics were selected to meet the demands of industry, which requires specific, up-to-date technical knowledge on a range of Codes and Standards.
With few management training offered specifically to engineers, the ASME Project Management and Conflict Resolution courses were added to the European portfolio to support engineers who are increasingly required to work in complex management roles throughout their careers.
Registration for the CEI Turin training courses is open until mid-May 2008, but early registration is encouraged, to take advantage of the "Early-Bird" rate, which ends on 25 March 2008.
The Turin training courses run from 19 - 23 May 2008.
The training courses are as follows:.
* Section VIII, Division 1: Design and Fabrication of Pressure Vessels - 19 - 21 May.
* Inspection, Repairs and Alterations of Pressure Vessels - 22 - 23 May.
* Section IX: Welding - 20 - 21 May.
* Project Management for Engineers and Technical Professionals - 19 - 20 May.
* Conflict Resolution for Engineers and Technical Professionals - 21 - 22 May.
