IP55 hybrid stepper motors
A new range of size 34 hybrid stepper motors has been introduced by Astrosyn International Technology, with IP55-rated motor housings for motion control applications in harsh, damp environments
Connection of lead wires to the motor via a sealed PG gland into a rear-mounted terminal box ensures that moisture is kept out of the motor electrics "This makes the L-series motors ideal for use in the food industry, for example," explained Simon Hunt, Astrosyn technical sales director, "since process equipment has to be regularly washed down and decontaminated"
