stepper motors

This substantial increase in power with the 1.8 degree stepping angle motors is achieved through two features: extended length rotor stacks and the use of novel rare earth materials for the rotor magnets.
"The extra torque will be invaluable in industrial applications where high performance is required," said Simon Hunt, technical sales director at Astrosyn.
"We expect applications in the packaging and labelling sectors in particular, and we are already trialling an application with an industrial sewing machine".
The NEMA 34 motors are available with bipolar holding torques of 4.5, 8.5 and 12.5 Nm, while the NEMA 42 models are rated at 11.5, 22.0 and 30.0 Nm.
