The new USA office will offer support to an existing customer base built up in the USA and to machine builders installing new equipment in the USA It will strengthen the ATS platform for delivering projects world-wide to corporate customers

The Detroit area was chosen as the site for the first office with its strong links to the automotive industry.

Many of the major corporate customers for ATS are in the automotive industry, including General Motors, Ford, Volkswagen, plus the customers also include Tier 1 automotive suppliers such as Visteon, Durr and Continental.

These customers choose ATS for local support and the ability to implement projects, using consistent methodologies across the globe from the existing offices in Europe and Australia.

In keeping with tradition, ATS has developed a special exchange programme.

American engineers will have the opportunity to broaden their skills in the European arena and European engineers will get the chance to learn the American way of applying new technology.

Over the last 18 years ATS has built a strong business model focusing on providing products and services to customers all over the world.

As an independent solution provider, ATS offers expert and neutral advice on customer adoption of the right technology.

In the beginning ATS will accentuate their training and on-site support at American customers, gradually extending the activities of the ATS independent solution provider profile and with the full support of the head office in the Netherlands.

With the USA office now open the strategy of opening new offices world-wide will continue.

Attention at the head office in the Netherlands will now focus upon France and China, where it is planned to open further offices during 2004 and early 2005.
