Automation Supplies offers modular conveyor system

An Automation Supplies product story
Edited by the Processingtalk editorial team Aug 15, 2007

Automation Supplies is proud to announce a new addition to their already comprehensive product range with the addition of modular conveyor systems from the major US manufacturer Dorner

Hartland, Wisconsin-based Dorner Manufacturing is a world leading conveyor manufacturer in not only the design, but also the manufacturing and distribution of conveyors and related equipment.

Since 1973, companies from around the world have turned to Dorner conveyors for greatly improved efficiency and productivity.

The range offers a vast array of industrial conveyors in steel, stainless steel and aluminium profile construction.

Traditional flat belt conveyors and belt conveyor bends are complimented by modular plastic belts with standard bends and incline derivatives of the highest quality.

The belt conveyors have some innovative features to improve reliability and reduce maintenance such as positive v-belt guiding and rack and pinion tensioning.

These innovations are standard on many belt conveyors and help to reduce belt wear and speed up belt change times.

Selected centre drive units for belt conveyors also feature gas strut or pneumatic assisted automatic belt tensioning so repeated manual adjustment is not necessary.

Perhaps the most unique and exciting recent development from Dorner is the "Aqua-Pruf" range of modular sanitary conveyors.

Available as flat belt, belt bends, modular plastic straights and conveyor bends, together with a comprehensive range of elevating conveyors, the "Aqua-Pruf" product line is probably the most complete standard sanitary food grade conveyor range available.

The standard "Aqua-Pruf" conveyor has many features to aid efficient cleaning in wash down situations and can be easily taken apart if necessary.

Strip down of a typical conveyor takes one person 3 minutes.

Preparation for daily cleaning takes 30 seconds and can be achieved without any special tools.

The "Aqua-Pruf" ultimate range takes this to new levels with features such as integrated automatic belt washing, plastic bearings, TIG welded construction with no fasteners in the food zone.

"Aqua-Pruf" conveyors are manufactured from 304 stainless as standard but can be specified in 316 stainless if required.

This investment in design had brought about various accreditations from the US bakery and agricultural industries.

Full literature on the Dorner product range is already available for download from the Automated Supplies website.
