Automated Packaging Systems has successfully gained British Retail Consortium/Institute of Packaging accreditation for the manufacture and supply of food packaging

Automated Packaging Systems has successfully gained British Retail Consortium/Institute of Packaging accreditation for the manufacture and supply of food packaging The accreditation means that Automated Packaging Systems, the world's leading supplier of integrated bagging solutions, is now certified to produce food packaging solutions

And with the Automated Packaging Systems reputation for increasing productivity and reliability, that can only mean greater flexibility for UK food producers.

"We're delighted," says marketing manager Paul Hayden.

"Automated Packaging Systems has always maintained very high standards of technical and quality management.

The fact that those standards were high enough to meet all the requirements without the need for new systems is a fantastic achievement".

The operation already has close working relationships with the food industry in the US, where its parent company has been a major player in food packaging for more than 20 years.

It has experience of domestic market too, but to date that has been confined to secondary or over-packaging.

The UK launch of FAS SPrint earlier this year signalled the APS move into the European food sector.

FAS SPrint offers a bagging solution specifically designed for use in environments where frequent bag changes and daily wash-downs are essential.

FAS SPrint is particularly suitable for frozen and IQF food products, fresh produce, fresh and dried pastas, snack foods, pet foods and multi or variety packs.

"We're very proud of this achievement," adds Mr Hayden, "and not just because of the opportunity to develop into new markets.

This reaffirms our credentials as a provider of clean packaging solutions - credentials that are vitally important to our medical, pharmaceutical and defence customers too". Request free introductory details about products from Automated Packaging Systems ...
