The six packages included in DrivesAdvantage give operators the support they need at every stage of the drive's life cycle," explains Nick Brown, ABB drives sales manager.
The six service packages are.
* DriveRepair - All makes of drive, not just ABB, can be repaired or advice given for replacement should repair be uneconomical.
* DriveUpgrade - A dedicated drive replacement scheme to find the right replacement for an existing drive and installing it, along with removal and disposal of the old unit.
* DriveHire - The UK's longest established drive hire service is part of the solution, with a fleet of drives for hire to meet temporary needs, such as dealing with a breakdown situation or testing a new application or proving energy savings on a "try before you buy" basis.
* DriveCare - Periodical and preventative maintenance as well as security backup and safe storage of drive parameters, ensuring the application can easily be restored in case of a breakdown.
* DriveEfficiency - Energy appraisals that identify the most valuable energy saving opportunities at the site that can be realised with variable speed drives, following the ABB market-leading 6-step Energy Saving Plan.
* DriveTraining - A training programme that helps ensure that users can take advantage of all the benefits their drives have to offer, held at an ABB Drives Alliance training centre or at the customer's premises.
ABB Drives Alliance is the UK's most comprehensive drives network, with ten partners strategically located around the UK.
The partners have large stocks of AC drives available off-the-shelf and online connection to the ABB central stock.
The members of the team have been handpicked by ABB because they are outstanding drives experts in their local area.
