The 2008 issue of the ABB full-colour 44-page drives and motors catalogue is now available, giving technical details of low voltage AC drives from 0.18 to 2,800kW and motors from 0.06 to 710kW

It also presents the ABB range of DC and medium voltage AC drives Easy-to-use tables give ordering data, dimensions, options and electrical details for most products, together with prices for 2008

The brochure also lists all ABB Drives Alliance and Motor Service partners, so customers can easily locate their nearest ABB partner.

New products for this year include an entry-level component drive, the ACS55, which supports the DriveConfig PC tool, enabling machine builders to configure the drives without powering them up.

The range of high-performance servo drives has increased to 110kW, with a new heat sink making the unit even smaller.

The power range has also been boosted across several drive families, with the general machinery drive extended to 22kW and the wall-mounted versions of the standard drive and industrial drive ranges now offering up to 132kW.

ABB standard drives and HVAC drives comply with Restriction of Hazardous Substances regulations (RoHS), so users now have a choice of RoHS drives from 0.18 to 355kW.

Other featured developments include improved intelligent pump control software, new control options, dedicated EMC filters and low harmonics drives, along with DriveMonitor modules that help make early diagnosis of any drive problems and boost long-term performance.

As well as product details, the 2008 brochure also outlines the services available to support drives customers.

DrivesActive, provides 24/7 support, while DrivesActive+ is a lifecycle management programme for critical equipment.

DrivesAdvantage completes the service portfolio with installation, start-up and after-sales support.

In terms of software, the catalogue details integration and programming tools, start-up and maintenance tools, as well as engineering and energy saving tools.
