New belt weigher takes accuracy for granted

An Avery Weigh-Tronix product story

Avery Weigh-Tronix is launching a new trade-approved belt weigher that offers users a guaranteed, OIML-approved weighing accuracy that is up to half a percent better than standard models

Following numerous requests for an R50 OIML-stamped in-conveyor system, Avery Weigh-Tronix has entered into an exclusive agreement with belt weighing specialist, Jesma as its sole UK and Ireland distributor for the WC9604 VIB/EER unit.

Typically belt weighers provide accuracies of around one percent, sufficient for general checkweighing but unacceptable for trade weighing.

The WC9604 VIV/EER provides results that are accurate to +/- 0.25% meaning that operators do not have to recheck the results on a separate verified system, for better productivity.

Trading Standards Officers can also access the machine flash RAM memory to retrieve weight data and the entire unit is anti-tamper sealed for additional data security.

The belt weigher is supplied in a self-contained frame that is custom built to suit the conveyor dimensions and belt speed, to ensure seamless integration into existing lines and consistent material flow rates.

It can be integrated into numerous control systems using standard networks such as Profibus and Ethernet and is available with ATEX ratings for use in hazardous areas.
