New sensor expands condition monitoring
range
AV Technology have launched a wide range of high quality vibration and acoustic emission sensors and instrumentation to complement their well established condition monitoring consultancy and services
Describing their business strategy, AVT Managing Director Stephen Mottershead stated: "As the largest independent CM company in the UK, we buy a significant number of vibration sensors for our own installations and systems However we are also often asked to simply supply sensors and accessories, especially by our growing number of international clients

With our own full range of sensors, instrumentation and accessories, we can now offer unrivalled and comprehensive CM solutions; consultancy on what system would be best for any particular application; vibration analysis training for clients' engineers; and the supply of all the necessary sensors and equipment, including data collectors if required".
AVT have been manufacturing their own high quality Acoustic Emission (AE) sensors for both normal and intrinsically safe applications since 1984, primarily for use by OEM companies and research organizations.
However with the recent increased interest in AE for CM applications, especially for monitoring slow moving bearings, AVT have extended their sensor range and introduced a new instrumentation family of user-friendly signal conditioning modules.
These have been designed to make the AE technology more accessible and easier to integrate within simple, yet powerful, CM systems.
Typical CM systems supplied by AVT often use a combination of vibration, acoustic emission and temperature sensors, cabled into an automated stand-alone data logging system with the ability to produce local or remote alarms and provide a remote monitoring capability.
With over 30 years CM experience, AVT are ideally qualified to advise and support companies with the specification, supply, installation and commissioning of all-encompassing effective CM solutions. Request a free brochure from AV Technology ...
