An AV Technology product story
Edited by the Processingtalk editorial team May 11, 2009

Linda Rabady, one of the AV Technology vibration experts, has become the first woman in the world to achieve Category 4 Vibration Analysis status via the US Vibration Institute in Illinois.

This is the highest accolade attainable in vibration analysis and 27-year-old Linda is also one of the youngest engineers to have passed the examination.

The certification committee recommends at least five years of experience.

Subjects involved include: signal processing, advanced diagnostics, vibration correction and control, dual channel analysis and structural/rotor-dynamic testing.

The Vibration Institute certification programme follows the International Standards Organization standard ISO 18436.2, Condition Monitoring and Diagnostics of Machines - Requirements for Training and Certification of Personnel - Part 2: Vibration Condition Monitoring and Diagnostics.
