An AxFlow product story

In order to meet all biopharmaceutical needs, a complete new design of diaphragm pump utilising the latest AODD pump technology has been introduced recently by Axflow, with 3-A and EHEDG certification

The terms batch or continuous, cleaning validation, product containment, separation of process and system sterility are all central issues surrounding modern biopharmaceutical processes.

At the heart of these issues is how fluids get transferred within the processes.

Moreover, it is the problem of the liquid becoming trapped within the process.

Trapped liquid leads to stagnation, which in turn leads to contamination, a problem that is unacceptable in biopharmaceuticals.

In order to meet all biopharmaceutical needs, a complete new design utilising the latest AODD pump technology has been introduced recently by Axflow.

The Wilden-Unitec UB pump, also know as the Bicorn, is designed to meet critical process requirements "out of the box".

These include high purity, high polish, traceable materials with 3-A and EHEDG certifications as well as certifiable elastomers with appropriate FDA and USP class VI approvals.

These pumps have achieved their goal: they are in the same class as other hygienic pumps that have biopharmaceutical certifications for clean in place (CIP) and steam in place (SIP) duty.
